Tears and grazes with the Paw Patrol

It’s not been an easy time for us lately. A child with a cough is one thing, being unable to breathe during a coughing spell is quite another. Unfortunately its also what my daughter is dealing with at the moment. The good news is we have medicine and she is likely going to be back her usual self soon. (I hope.)

It was during our wait at the chemist we found the Paw Patrol First Aid Kit.

At first glance I thought ‘Oh we have Paw Patrol plasters at home. We don’t need this’.

I was wrong. We bought it because my daughter loves Paw Patrol and the extra would come in handy. Just look at what you get.

Includes 40 components.

  • 14 finger plasters
  • 6 large plasters
  • 2 graze plasters
  • 1 forehead thermometer
  • 4 dressing pads
  • 1 pair tweezers
  • 6 cleansing wipes
  • 6 character stickers

All in a resealable packet. It’s also great value at £1.90 lloyds chemist. As I have found it’s also a novelty feature and have lost a few of the stickers for fun. I would highly recommend this for all little Paw Patrollers.

Autumn Prep at Primark

What a great summer… for a duck! We have had nothing but rain for the best part of the week though it didn’t dampen our trip to the zoo thankfully. However I am still feeling pretty bad with a sore throat so to cheer myself up Ta Da. A little treat.

Primark has some really nice Ugg style boots in for autumn so I picked up a tan brown pair for only £6. I find it a good tip to by early so you are prepared. (They also sell the boots in grey and black) I also bought a Unicorn plaque for £1.50.

To my surprise and delight Boots were having a Yankee Candle sale. My local branch only had cinnamon on sale but other stores may differ. The large Yankees as pictured were reduced to £10 and the medium jars £5.

Treats

Total £17.50.

Will Primark do the ta-ta towel?

The latest innovation taking the internet by storm is the new ta-ta towel. Yay you say. Or maybe What the heck? Well let me explain for those who haven’t yet come across this genius idea. Its basically a kind of towel for the boobs. In particular the more busty ones. Trust me no matter how careful you dry there will always be a little damp, or worse, sweat build up after your shower. It was also noted as being convenient for breastfeeding and those who have had breast surgery due to the comfort.

ta-ta-towel

The ta-ta towel.

Would I buy one? Hell yeah but not at this price tag. Its still a little too pricey.  $45. I’m awaiting Primark to do their magic. Come on Primark. Are you going to come up with a cost effective towel?. Lets hope so.

Amazing savings on kids toy haul.

As children see more and more as they grow the more they want. It’s not really their fault. Even as adults we fall into the ‘want’ trap. That’s why I love shopping second hand for some amazing finds like the ones I am sharing here.  These were all from charity shops for my daughter. The biggest saving was the Sylvanian Families Farmhouse RRP £74.99. and no longer made. I paid £4. It was like new. (door is missing in photo as my daughter took it off.) The smaller Sylvanian House cost £3. RRP £44.99 Ours did not come with furniture as it would new but still great savings.  The Friends Lego was still sealed and cost £1.99.  RRP £17.99.  Our Disney finds were a highlight as they can be so pricey. Merida from Brave toddler doll. No shoes but we have plenty others we can use £1.50 RRP £15.  Again the Ariel styling head did not come with accessories but we have them from another styling head. Cost to us £1. RRP £17.99.   The Wind In The Willows board game was originally given free when a copy of the video was bought through Readers Digest. I am unsure of the video cost to receive this gift but the game cost us £1.99.

I love shopping for my daughter as much as I do for myself and more so sharing what we find. I would say these are “pocket money finds”.

Overall RRP £170.96 (minus the board game) Cost to me £11.49 Total Savings £159.47.
