A Shopaholics Dream

Are you like me? Are you a shopaholic? Do you just love to shop even if only window shopping? Why? Honesty what is it that makes it so good. Maybe its the freedom of choosing whatever you desire, perhaps its the “winning” feeling that finally YOU have that item. Or even the satisfaction of having what you need be it a new towel bale to replace the tatty old one or your child’s required winter wardrobe.Whatever it is it feels good and it’s fun.

My way to relax is to sit and watch – yep did you guess? – Youtube haul videos. It’s like your own personal review and showcase of products you can browse in the comfort of your own home. Isn’t that what we were told when internet shopping came along! Well yes and no. Sure you can go shop but you cant feel the fabric, know how it will fit (roomy or small made) How well does it wash, does the product truely do as it states? Do shops come with an actual indepth feature on the product. No but haul videos usually do. I watch for things like christmas. I get inspiration, I get a good opinion on quality and how toys stand up to a toddler on a rampage. Best of all you can ask and answer questions if need be. This is my kind of shopping experience. The only thing left is to go buy it.

I did a few hauls on my blog and purely because I thought it would be fun to do them instead of watch. Also because my anxiety stopped me from doing my own videos…. until recently  Me:1-Anxiety:0 Ha! Suck it up anxiety.

The videos started with my audio contributions online that led to my own visual videos. The reason? I did not want anxiety to win. I didn’t want my past to keep me down. It was like a form of therapy that kept me pushing myself to limits I did not want to cross. I took me out of my comfort zone. I watched one video recently and thought NO No way is this going up. I hit upload anyway. Then all that self doubt melted because it didn’t matter how anyone viewed me. I was doing it for me. You know what I uploaded right? Haul videos. As time goes on I will be speaking about my anxiety and other stuff to raise awareness. My own struggles with endometriosis which included some malpractice and other stuff. If you are interested in any of these topics please check out my channels below in the links. Maybe my experiences can help you. Thanks for reading.

Toddler Primark mini haul April 2014

I often sit and watch or read shopping haul vlogs and blogs mainly cause I love shopping. However despite wanting to attempt to do my own I never have gotten round to it. So here it is.

Its not often I get round to our local Primark and to be honest I would prefer to go to one of the larger stores. As it is I can easily spend £100 plus in a smaller store so perhaps best I’m not going every week! My intention was to go and pick up a gift for my sisters birthday. (She loves Primark as much as I do.) Along the way I also picked up a few peices for myself and for my daughter who is 2.

So why Primark? Well for one its cheap. That’s one of the main reasons. Also when it comes to footwear I wear them down so quick that I dont intend to spend lots on something that will likely last me no more than a month or two. There is a good range and they are featured in lots of magazines now so when you spy something you like the look of there is a good chance it is from Primark. Or at the very least you can get a lookalike copy of it from there at a fraction of the price.

Today Im focusing on what I bought for my toddler.

She badly needed new shoes. At the moment we have winter boots and wellies. Thats about it in her size so we were hoping to find a pair of trainers or hightops for running around in. Unfortunately we could not find any so we settled for the following dress shoes and canvas ones.  Pink a colour we both love so it works well.

Along side the shoes we also bought a new t-shirt 3/4yrs Peppa Pig for £4, a skinny jeans jacket in almost flourescent pink for £8 and in a size 4/5yrs. Primark tends to run small at times and my daughter is big for her age. Despite that I never thought I would be buying a size 4yrs for a 2yrs old! The small airplane is a 50p toy we picked up in a charity shop.
